The Invesco Perpetual Highland Adventure Race is a great team building event, held annually, in aid of the Mitchemp Trust. This year, it takes place on 24-25 September in the rugged terrain and beauty of the Scottish Highlands. Teams of 4-6 people will cycle, hike and canoe 60 miles in 24 hours, from east to west Scotland, in an effort to be crowned Winner of the Invesco Perpetual Highland Adventure Race 2011.
Invesco Perpetual will again be entering teams who are already in training with much pride at stake to improve on last year's performance.
Teams will be raising money for the Mitchemp Trust, a charity which helps to give young people the hope, confidence and life skills to meet the challenges in their lives through a journey of experience, adventure and fun.

It takes a motivated team to embark upon 60 miles of mountain biking, canoeing and hill walking in less than 24 hours. Covering the 60 mile route will require stamina and determination, but race participants will be supported every step of the way by Invesco Perpetual's professional and experienced race team to ensure that the journey leading up to race day is as enjoyable as the challenge itself.
We can offer you training and fundraising support with training schedules, the advice of fitness trainers and help will always be there when you need it.
The Invesco Perpetual Highland Adventure Race is set in the most stunning of locations, in the rugged terrain and beauty of the Scottish Highlands, and it is all to play for with an Invesco Perpetual Highland Adventure Race trophy awarded to the fastest team, and prizes for the teams that achieve the highest fundraising totals.
At times it may be tough, but with the right training and support there is every reason to finish the race knowing you've done a good thing for a great cause, and had a fantastic time doing it!
“The three disciplines (bike, canoe and hike) were tough but achievable; people who wanted to compete could. We can all push ourselves to try new challenges, and we are rewarded when we do.”
Charlie & Team, BrightTALK
The Invesco Perpetual Highland Adventure Race is a team event made up of 4-6 race participants and 1-2 support crew, with a minimum of 4 people taking part in each of the race challenges at any one time. For the ultra competitive, all participants can compete in all 3 stages and push themselves to complete the race in the fastest possible time.
Each team will be supported by a support crew who will drive you and your equipment around the event, set up camp, navigate and keep you supplied with plenty of food and water.
Around 30 teams are expected to take part.
“The thing that I cherish most is how well we all worked together as one big team over the whole weekend. It was a beautiful thing to be part of.”

“Our Youth Adventure Programme aims to build the confidence and self esteem of some of the UK's most vulnerable children. The programme, delivered by volunteers, enables these young people to make the most of their lives and have a positive future. Thank you Invesco Perpetual.”
The Mitchemp Trust
Invesco Perpetual is organising the Highland Adventure Race 2011 in aid of the Mitchemp Trust, a registered youth development charity that works to improve the lives of young people aged between 11 and 14 years by engaging them in adventure courses and outdoor activities.
As an organisation, Invesco Perpetual has supported the Mitchemp Trust for the last 4 years to raise an incredible £375k. This year, Invesco Perpetual is aiming to raise over £110k to put 80 young people on the Mitchemp Trust's 3-year Youth Adventure Programme, a programme that is very similar by nature to that of the Invesco Perpetual Highland Adventure Race, in that it promotes teamwork, group living, activities and challenges in new environments.
